Safiri-Elototo speaks in two languages but one meaning: journey. Drawn from Swahili and Maasai, the name reflects our mission — transforming the lives of young girls from danger to empowerment.
Safiri-Elototo
We support and partner with local NGOs in Monduli, Arusha, empowering them to protect girls at risk of FGM through community-led solutions.

What We Do
We support locally led organisations working to prevent Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in and around Arusha. Our role is to strengthen the work of expert NGOs on the ground by helping them access resources, visibility, and practical support — so they can do more of what they do best.

Why This Matters
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is a harmful practice with no health benefits and long-lasting physical and psychological consequences. It is internationally recognised as a violation of the human rights of women and girls. Prevention is most effective when it is community-led, culturally respectful, and shaped by local expertise.

Partnership at the Centre
The organisations we support in Arusha bring deep experience and trusted relationships within their communities. Safiri-Elototo exists to amplify their efforts and help build sustainable, locally driven change.
